Just an FYI, the GS office site has an updated FAA filing for the building (up to 300' even though it isn't going quite that high) and also filings for 4 tower cranes. All were put in on Monday.

https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/se ... 506&row=25

It's just to update this one that will lapse soon: https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/se ... 808&row=49

I’m not sure the validity of this but thought it was worth sharing. West block is where the tallest towers would be and 895 units is the same number pitched in the first rendering.

Was this part of a presentation on the Hunt Property or another potential development in the area? The Field Street development South of Woodall Rodgers Frwy is denoted by a red box. If the Hunt Tower is a residential tower, 895 units is a substantial number of apartment or condos in one tower. Museum Tower, which is 42 stories, has a total of 120 units. The original renderings include multiple towers, which were to include residential, hotel, & office components.

It’s from this website and shows Dallas’ residential pipeline. The colors is what stage the project is in. I would assume it’s two towers even though it says just “tower”
It matches what’s in this rendering. But again idk how accurate this website is I just found it interesting.

For sure.
As disappointing as the height is for this one I'm happier with the design we're getting as opposed to getting a 4~5-story taller version that's simply sitting on a parking podium.

There not 800 plus ft tall but I’ll take it. These two heights will be a standout for sure and I like that it’s two different heights for the two resi/hotel towers. Given it’s still early and things can change, but I’d be ok with those heights.

Those renderings have been around for quite some time, at least 1 1/2 years.

I never liked the really tall proposal. It just looked weird in that spot. This (if it ever happens) looks much better.

Just adding a few more renderings from the link zblevinz555 posted above. The eye candy and dreaming are fun.

If they ever build these residential towers this should be roughly how much they'll stand out.
I used the W for height reference as it will be right next door.

I think it’ll look great. I kinda have a reference now when I drive past downtown that the smallest resi tower is about the same height as amli fountain place and try to picture it over there

Some of the renderings, yes. The others renderings I’m now seeing. Especially, the one with the height of the proposed buildings.

Louis Sullivan, one of the skyscraper OG's, believed that skyscrapers should have sweeping vertical lines predominating. And I can't help but agree. The more they try to decorate these the more they look like wicker hampers and patio furniture.

Screenshots from the Fox 4 tower cam. The Saharan Dust makes visibility more difficult and the quality of the pic in general isn’t the greatest

This one is from yesterday, while the 4th crane was going up.

*BONUS*

These two are from today taken at different times. The first one taken this morning, you can see 23Springs more clearly. The late afternoon pic, The Oliver can be seen more clearly.
