Dallas developer Bill Cawley has unveiled a new $30 million office building within Allen's Watters Creek, which, if developed, could bring another walkable option for office space to this part of the region.
"We have been working on this site for a long time and it's the best, well-located site in Allen because of its proximity near Watters Creek," Cawley told the Dallas Business Journal."This is a true live-work-play option, which is why we picked it."
A $91 million, four-star hotel and an attached convention center is expected to get underway by the end of the month, which will make the hotel with 90,000 square feet of convention and meeting space a reality.
The convention center hotel, which will sit at the northwest corner of U.S. 75 and Bethany Drive, has been in the pipeline for years.
By the end of the year, a Dallas-based development firm plans to get started on a new high-end office park in Allen to cater to companies looking for high-end real estate.
Kaizen Development Partners plans to build a five-story, 125,000-square-foot office building, two restaurants and a four-story, 570-space parking garage at the northwest corner of Bethany Drive and Watters Creek Boulevard in Allen.
I have not been keeping up, but I didn’t know Barnes & Noble was opening stores. Good news! Borders Books & Music was a tenant at Watters Creek when it first opened. I think Michael’s has that space now. Are they still there?
