Developer ready to start Dallas North Tollway office project, replacing car dealership

Developers are ready to kick off construction on one of the last large building sites on the Dallas North Tollway near LBJ Freeway.

Cawley Partners' FOURTEEN555 project will include two 240,000-square-foot, 6-story office buildings at 14555 Dallas Parkway.

"It's the old Ewing car dealership site," said developer Bill Cawley. "We're ready to move ahead with construction."

A unit of Houston-based Occidental Petroleum is renting half of the first building.

Where is this going to be located? Old Ewing Chevrolet doesn't mean anything to me - and the address I'm getting is a large lot with Spring Valley to the south and a tiny street called Landmark Blvd to the north, which is not really 'near' the intersection of the DNT and 635.

I believe a division of Occidental Petroleum is renting at the corner of the DNT and 635 (Galleria Drive), but that's not what I'd call a large lot unless something has been removed.

Just north of Spring Valley, west side of the Tollway, the lot north of the 3-bldg International Plaza complex (where JPMorgan-Chase's regional operations have been up to now before they move to Legacy West in Plano). There was Henry Butts Oldsmobile (before it moved to far west Plano and went kaput), Ewing Buick (before it moved to Plano Pkwy. east of Ohio), and a Volvo place. Since they've been gone, nothing has been there, except maybe the occasional Christmas tree lot. It's actually on the border of Farmers Branch and Addison, not on the Dallas side of the Tollway, BTW.

The vacant acreage in the pic below, to the left of the Tollway.
