Hong Kong firm starts 6,000-home community north of Dallas in Collin and Grayson counties
The development will be off US 75 on 3000 acres. 2/3 of the area will have single-family homes. An existing golf course-country club will be adjacent to the development. Other parts of Mantua will include various commercial sites (mixed-use, retail, office). Late in 2020, the first model homes are expected to open.

Anna/Van Alstyne: Mantua development
Re: Anna/Van Alstyne: Mantua development
This is an absolutely huge development and one that will almost fill the gap between Sherman and McKinney.

I drove out to Anna recently and they are definitely building it up like crazy. Can't see much in the way of sprawl/development off Highway 75 *yet* once you pass McKinney, but once you get off at the exit with the Love's and Flying J and head east into Anna's town square, it's strip malls and subdivisions as far as the eye can see.

Re: Anna/Van Alstyne: Mantua development
Can't believe I hadn't heard of this development until now. The render on DMN looks insane. I don't know if it'll compete with Fields directly in terms of cost (?) or amenities/luxury, but it looks like it'll be a damn city center once it's built out (if the render is truly what it'll look like in its final form). Anyone else have other thoughts on this? I'm shocked.
