A California group has acquired the now-former Sears store at the mall, and will do a multi-use project there, complete by next year. The first floor will become a Korean grocery store, while the second floor will have a restaurant and business/professional space aimed at the Asian community. This comes in the midst of more recent interest in the mall; it had been losing tenants since news of its financial problems came to light.
