Very well done. But aren’t you missing 19 acres?

There is one mystery building I left out, and all of the driveway space to the north as well, but it's mostly the result of me spending 15 minutes stretching and bending a skewed image of a drawing  I tried!

Luckily a more straight-on photo of it has been making the rounds online.

But what I read is this site-map well predates the concept art and was used for submission to the city a while ago. The glossy colorful concept art is apparently a more recent and accurate portrayal of what we should expect this to look like. So, no Texas shaped swimming pool ahah. And based on the concept art it looks like the hotel is part of the park entrance which should conserve a lot of space.

Tbh I think they could get that done easily. Their new park in Orlando is on track to open in 2025, and, when you disregard the time they paused construction during the pandemic, it will have taken them 4~5 years to complete a 110 acre park with actual rides and a ~750 room hotel (a 750 acre project in total ), compared to this little 30 acre park/hotel with very few traditional rides. So long as they break ground this spring I think Summer 2025 is doable.

And sorry yall, I'll probably be posting a lot about this! I'll create a separate thread. I'm a theme park nerd and I'm excited we finally have something happening in our own backyard for a change, even if only my kiddos are going to enjoy it. I'm just hoping this is just the start of bigger theme park growth here. There is so much space just north of this project if Disney ever wants to plant a flag nearby as well. I don't think they really will, but, the drive time between Orlando's Airport and Disney World is the same as the drive time from DFW Airport to the Prosper area.

Keep in mind this will have no thrill rides, so it won't even compete with Six Flags if you want some actual roller coasters. This will be equal to a pricier version of a State Fair in some form, with rides and food that have more modern branding and upkeep targeting kids and some minor things to keep parents from being bored out of their minds. It's not a bad development, so don't get me wrong and if they wanted to build it in Dallas I would welcome it too. It's just not a true theme park in how most people think of them. It's a glorified kids' park, like adding steroids to Celebration Station(dating myself here). Disney played with similar park ideas in the past but never truly built them. Universal is trying to see if they can create feeder parks for a larger system of smaller parks that send even more visitors to their even bigger locations throughout the world. Get the kids hooked on the smaller parks and maybe the parents will buy a bigger ticket to the bigger park too. Sell them a subscription ticket that includes admission to both the smaller and the bigger park. They could sell a season pass equal to Six Flags with prmises on discounts when you book a larger trip to Orlando.

What is the status of the Fields West development (the 180 Legacy West-type development) within Fields Ranch, that was announced last April? Are there any stated or rumored start dates?

Looks like some movement finally on the retail... Breaking ground in July. These are filings for the first 2, but I'm sure we'll see TDLR updated ASAP with a few others.

Saw this fly through video for Fields West. I hadn't seen it before. Might also give some clues as to what the retail lineup might look like... Noticed Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Anthropologie, Faherty and others.

I think Fields West and Legacy West will have something like 80% overlap when it comes to tenants.

The scale of this project is much better than Legacy West.

With the exception of the water feature, this and Legacy West look way to similar imo.
