The expansion at the Gaylord is done. Additions include 303 guest rooms (new total, 1814 rooms (now 2nd in size locally behind the DTD Sheraton hotel)) and 86,000 square feet of meeting room area (new total, 490,000 square feet). The expanded meeting area includes a 30,000 square foot ballroom (the "Tate Ballroom", for Grapevine's current mayor). The article points out that the new extra space at the Gaylord brings it to third in size nationally in total in-house meeting room space among hotels that don't have casinos.
