Apparently Buc-ee's really likes DFW. Terrell, north Fort Worth, and the Denton one on the way are just the start. Now Melissa will get a taste of beaver nuggets too. The store will be at US 75/Davis Rd. (the exit north of the TX 121 turnoff), the NE corner.

While the groundbreaking just took place, the project has been in the works since last year. The holdup was an issue that had to be worked out with the US Army Corps of Engineers. Buc-ee's looks to have the store ready by February of next year.

Well, it’s passed up Celina and has its sights on Anna’s back, now, dude.
At only a 24-mile commute to The Star, by the time that commute becomes utterly intolerable it’ll hope to have landed its own office parks to compensate. Of course the neighborhoods will be looking a bit drab next to the newest 2029 home trends on offer in Marilee, a town we haven’t heard of quite yet.

Side note: Did you know the Tilt-up Concrete Association has formed to popularize the noblest of the suburban building arts? The last three years have seen a dorm built with tilt-up panels 111’ high (nine floors) and a concrete tilt-wall 4.1-million-square-foot A/C production plant. Soon we’ll be able to pour families, communities, and whole civilizations on bare dirt and tip them right into place.

Buc-ees... Like 'candy corn', some things I will just never understand...

As for tilt-up construction: I've been watching the entire development of Cypress Waters use this method. It is, uh, interesting. But once done, there is nothing interesting about it. A bit sterile if you ask me...
