Downtown Fort Worth: Sundance Square

Postby jrd1964 » 27 Sep 2017 17:53

A new 2-story CVS is is going in the old Sanger Brothers building, replacing an old Ojos Locos sports bar. According to the article, there are very few 2-story CVS stores in the chain.

I still don't understand why Walgreens isn't doing more downtown, especially Dallas. They have a newer concept location in NYC (Lower Manhattan? Wall Street? can't remember) that really would look good here and perform well IMO. Why they'd let CVS have all the downtown action, I'll never know.

Because in Dallas, our practically useless city council and zoning department would rather do nothing at work, and let them demolish historic buildings to build crappy copy/paste new buildings and surface parking. Because we pay thousands of employees in various city departments to do absolutely nothing but sit and collect a check. That is why.

Why is this posted in suburban development, though?

I have posted Fort Worth items in Urban before, but mainly get a feeling that only Dallas posts should go there. Of course, the admins are free to move this there if they feel that this is an Urban post despite it not being a Dallas-related item.

Glad to see CVS getting back into Urban designs. That in itself is good news.

Well, it is the Dallas Fort Worth Urban Forum, so it's a little offensive to those of us on the west end of the Trinity to see it posted under exurb/suburban.
