Another edge-of-DFW ranch has sold for residential development. Shoop Ranch, between Rhome and Decatur in the town of New Fairview (not the same as Fairview, between Allen and McKinney), spans 1800 acres; the buyer plans over 4100 homes and will include a new town square for New Fairview as part of the development.
