Correct. I just checked again. No mention of Jil Sander.

Nike apparently going in to former H&M space.

"Rise" is the new concept stores Nike has been making, should still be the one expected to take over previous H&M.

Maybe Jil Sander is waiting for a currently occupied space, and they are not ready to announce the closure yet.

I’m really puzzled by Ugg…could they not find space for it to move? Is it not coming back? It still seems like a relevant brand. I hope Robert Graham moves and doesn’t just close.

Ugg would make sense over in the old Morphe space or somewhere on the second floor imo. Hopefully they’re not gone for good

I personally thought they'd look really neat over in the old Disney store space, especially as that puts them near Athleta and other similar stores, but at the same time that does make sense still.

My personal list is of stores I'd like to see in Dallas:
Marc Jacobs (can check this one off)
Prada
Lafayette 148
Zadig & Voltaire
COS
Mango

Wishful additions:
Chloe
Givenchy
Loewe
Lanvin
Thom Browne
Amiri
Uniqlo

Nice to return:
Ugg (not sure if they are reopening somewhere or not)
Bvlgari
Sam Edelman
Intermix
Parachute

That is so bizarre that they'd stay in the luxury wing. Maybe they are absorbing the temp Omega and Sunglass Hut spaces?

I think suite 1100 is the mgmt office and used in a lot of generic permits.

Even though it would be nice to have Intermix come back, I don't think there's a place for them in the Dallas market. 90% of the brands sold at Intermix can be found at Neiman's, Nordstrom, or their own boutique at Northpark. It was a cool concept when it first opened, but once Northpark got nicer, it lost its place in the Dallas market.

I'd be interested to which brands leaving the mall are suited to the downtown area.

As downtown continues to gain population, it should be considered as an open air shopping destination.

I vouch for this. Although I know a lot of downtowns have been struggling recently (like Chicago’s Miracle Mile, which has had a lot of stores leave as of recently), I think adding more shops down there would be a pretty good draw, especially with all the hotels in the area. It would also bring more support to Neiman’s and Forty Five Ten if they had more retail surroundings.

Given that the flagship Neimans is already struggling, I doubt these boutiques would be very successful downtown.

I’d like to see the Victory Park area by the American Airlines Center begin to thrive and add more shopping experiences. The restaurants seem to do well, I go there when I go to one of the nearby museums or the AAC, but a lot of shops would look really neat there as well.

Downtown’s been improving over the years, with the AT&T Discovery District contributing to most of it. I think more retail stores would be good down there, but not a luxury demographic (which the few stores down there cater to).

Obviously, I want Willow Bend Mall to be saved, mostly because I hate Stonebriar and I want there to be other options in Collin County lol, even though it’s the same distance from me as NorthPark is. I think they should tear down the food court and build a new one on the second floor above where the District is.

Speaking of Stonebriar, I wouldn’t put it in the same category as any of those other shopping centers considering they rarely get any new-to-market stores. Yes, they’ve been getting nicer stores as of recently, but most of them already have multiple other stores in the market. Anthropologie, for example, has had a store in Allen for a while. As for the Galleria, they’ve gotten a few new to market stores as of recently, but nothing really on the same scale as what those other centers do. Sometimes I think some higher end stores will do well there, but seeing as Swarovski, J Crew and Ann Taylor have closed within recent years, it’s hard to say.

That is a better fit for them I think. Leads me to think Marni will indeed be taking that spot.

Will be interesting to see what develops out of the previous Nike space.

Also I have been thinking that Williams Sonoma is in such a prominent spot in the luxury corridor, maybe needs to move upstairs and combine a few spaces together? But I know that space is not idea by the escalators so maybe not as desirable....

Keep in mind that Eataly is right across the hall, and Design Within Reach is right up the escalator.
Personally I don’t think the luxury wing needs to be full luxury, take Houston’s Galleria for example, they have Zara, Sephora, and Aritzia in the same wing as stores that not even NorthPark has. This Williams Sonoma also carries furniture not available at the other locations in the area as well.

Anyone think Dior may open a store at NorthPark soon, hopefully? They also have two boutiques in Houston, at the Galleria and at River Oaks. It might be nice for a second location to open in Dallas as well. Seeing that they're expanding to Austin makes me hopeful DFW could sustain a second location.

"Current" as in the temporary space I assume. The Lip Lab space shows to be suite 638 and I'm pretty sure that will be the permanent location of Robert Graham.

We'll probably see a NorthPark location if the Galleria one proves successful enough. I'm sure all those empty spaces by Macy's would be a good spot. In the meantime, the Galleria's probably a good location due to it being popular with international shoppers.

H&M needs to build a new store at Park Lane or Mockingbird Station. I imagine Uniqlo would do well there too, if not the Galleria.

Willow Bend would have been a good place for these stores to go back in 2018, but now that the mall owners seem to want to demolish the mall, as seen by how they have not leased any long term tenants, I think that is unlikely to happen.

J. Crew is gone- No word on a new tenant but the mall is using the tented wallboard instead of the flat one, which typically means there is a plan in place.

Is there no J Crew pop up? That would leave just Legacy West open for now in DFW!

Interesting size and location for Marc Jacobs. I would’ve expected a bigger store closer to the other higher end brands. Wonder if it will just focus on accessories.

Any word on the previous Nike space?

The J Crew brand is definitely going through some stuff, I remember during the last black friday they were having at the Galleria location I got a (supposedly) $80 jumper for like $16 lol. I’m surprised they didn’t just take over their old Men’s shop for the time being.

As for Marc Jacobs, that location isn’t bad at all imo. It’s more of an “entry-level” brand, similar to Coach, Kate Spade, Longchamp, etc; all of which aren’t on the part of the center that is full blown luxury. So, I think its location near Nordstrom is perfect. I’d rather it be there than next to Maison Margiela.
