The mall needs a full spa and fine hotel. Maybe three hotels, and multi purpose skyscraper
There is still the Tax Free Shopping office behind Versace. And I agree, NorthPark definitely is behind when it comes to adding mixed use components to the property - even Willow Bend is planning on catching up. Still, adding one of 4 Jil Sander stores in the country will be a huge draw.
Adding hotels to the property helps both NorthPark and Highland Park Village to become destinations for tourists, especially now that the Galleria is no longer the mall it used to be and that there is overlap between these two properties.
I think the addition of Claire’s will help fuel the need for a hotel.

Tory Burch is moving to the AllSaints space. No word on what's going into the current TB space, or if AllSaints is closing/relocating.

San Francisco based retailer MarineLayer is coming soon to space #790. They currently have a space on Knox, no word if it is a relocation or additional location.

I hope Allsaints stays. I love that store, although I’ve never not been the only person inside of it. Would probably be neat on the Macy’s/Dillard’s side of the mall though.
They do carry Allsaints at Nordstrom though, although the selection leaves a lot to be desired.

They're fairly popular in TX, might be moving to Knox or somewhere else in NP.

Knox would be a good place for them, there’s also Vince there which is kind of similar. I always thought they should open more locations, at Clearfork and the Galleria. If they leave Dallas that leaves us with Houston Galleria and Austin Domain locations.
What I’d really want is an outlet location in the Grapevine Mills
Re: Northpark Center
I always felt the current Allsaints space was kind of big for them. Moving Tory Burch by Kate Spade is a good move and opens another space in the luxury wing, which I'm sure is already accounted for. Perhaps Alexander McQueen moving to be near other stores in their fashion house?
So, Marine Layer will move into the spot that currently has the Robert Graham pop-up which should be moving to the new location soon. That will be good to be hear Faherty and such.

Yes, this move seems to be so that they can accommodate a different tenant, while moving a more mid range one to a more mid-range section of the mall. I am also still waiting to see what the old Gucci store becomes.
That Alexander McQueen is the only one in Texas so that would be a great catch for NorthPark! I will put my bets on Christian Louboutin, considering their store at HPV is tiny and the brand has a massive presence inside of NorthPark as of currently (Nordstrom’s in store boutique, the massive pop up that THE Christian Louboutin made an appearance at inside of Neiman’s)

Good observation. We shall see!
Re: Northpark Center
Maje is moving across the hall into the old Byredo space. This move seems to give them a little more space. Their current space is pretty small and would be good for a store like Wolford if they make a return to the market as they re-open in previous markets.

They left the Atlanta market as well, but a while back. I could see them coming back at some point, though I think HP Village would be a good location.
Re: Northpark Center
How are all the showrooms and design businesses holding up in the design district? As that area evolves, it may become another destination option for some of these brands.
Re: Northpark Center
The temp Robert Graham has closed signaling an opening of their new store in the coming days. Construction of Marine Layer will begin in that space. It will be interesting to see if the Knox ML store closes (my guess) or not.

It's been a while since I've been to NorthPark now that I think of it but I love this new J. Crew design,
Re: Northpark Center
I believe Robert Graham is delayed and will open another temp location upstairs. Most likely where the Longchamp temp location was next to Clarks.

I really wonder if Ugg would ever reopen in Dallas! They're a really popular brand, perhaps next time they could try the Galleria? Or they'd do well near Nike and Journeys by Macy's

Wonder what the delay in RB is. Seems like they are a nomad these days hopping store to store.
Buckle , Tory Burch & Maje have filed permits for renovations/expansions.

I hope Allsaints moves to the Macy’s wing or relocates to Knox Street or the Galleria. I love that store and it sucks Dallas didn’t embrace it as much as it should’ve!

I really enjoy Allsaints and shop there quite frequently. That being said the Dallas location always looked temporary, and I hope they look to expand or renovate to a more fitting aesthetic. Maybe that would draw more people in lol
Re: Northpark Center
I never thought it looked temporary. I think they were going for a modern minimalist/industrial vibe. With that said, hope to see them relocate rather than close.

All of their locations look like that, this location has been around for about 7 years or so. But a redesigned, relocated location is what I'm hoping for.

I guess I am used to the ones around me (San Francisco/Bay Area) and they are all minimalist/industrial and such unique lighting inside. Very moody stores and I enjoy the character they seem to have.

I would be very sad to see them close. I think Northpark is the correct spot for them. Not sure they are the Knox/Henderson crowd. Would be really cool to see them open in a renovated warehouse in Deep Ellum but that would not be sustainable.

I second Deep Ellum, it would resemble their Nashville stores
Re: Northpark Center
No mention of Texas or DFW in Uniqlo expansion plans but it sounds as though it's only a matter of time, at least in their minds. Uniqlo parent company expects to open dozens and dozens of new locations soon and go from 53 to 200 stores nationwide by 2027. They had announced a store at the Galleria in Houston in 2020 but I don't know if it ever opened.

Not a bad catch. Fills a hole Papyrus used to fill.

I’m hoping it’s a pop-up, although wouldn’t be mad about it being permanent. NorthPark needs to realise stores can be both unique and affordable at the same time, and I think Bonsai isn’t a bad catch at all for the half-dead upper Macy’s wing

The article says between Neimans and Nordstrom, so is it not opening where Tory Burch is currently?

According to TDLR, Etro is moving into Suite 1326, which appears to be currently occupied by Fabiana Filippi.

I hope Fabiana isn’t leaving, here’s hoping they just need a bigger store. There’s the old Byredo right next door I wish they would’ve taken that space.

I messaged Allsaints on Instagram and they have no information on whether NorthPark is closing or not… staying hopeful they’ll at least have a temp store
Re: Northpark Center
Fabiana only has 3 stores in the U.S., I wouldn't be surprised if they downsized, moved to HP Village or simply closed. They just don't have a large presence in our country, which may lead to a smaller following.

Understandable. Dallas is such a weird market to pick for a store that only has stores in Miami and New York. It is super neat though when we get these rare stores, really helps bring up Dallas image as a fashion city.

Most brands miss the opportunity in Dallas.

I agree. I'm not sure why Z&V and Lafayette 148 haven't entered the Dallas market yet.
