the acreage for Devil's Bowl Speedway has been sold. It has been the site of races and race events since the 1970s. The last event will be Saturday and Sunday, October 20 and 21. The posting does not list the fate of the acreage, but it's probably going to end up as single-family housing.

Ch.5 also has a report about Devil's Bowl closing. It is mentioned in the story that not only is housing being built nearby, but the TX 190-Bush Turnpike extension will likely be built through or near the property.
