On May 10, 11, and 12, a big new multi-stage entertainment festival will be held at AT&T Stadium, with several musicians and comedians. Lots of music acts including Sting, Kid Rock, Little Big Town, Ludacris, Lauryn Hill, Pitbull, Counting Crows, Collective Soul, Black Eyed Peas, Joan Jett, Trombone Shorty, Rick Springfield, Old 97s, The English Beat, X, Los Lonely Boys, and The B-52's, among others. Comics appearing will include Dennis Miller, Brad Garrett, Whitney Cummings, Jim Breuer, and more. Besides the acts, which will be spread over 6 different stages, there will be a pool with cabanas, a DJ booth, art showings, a spa, as well as VIP extras at a much extra charge. The festival started in California a few years ago and now tens of thousands attend each year to that one. On top of bringing a Kaaboo festival here, the organizers also plan to do one in the Cayman Islands. This is pretty pricey for the average event-goer ($299 is the minimum 3-day price) but a lot is going on for the money.

Ppl are making fun of this festival on the r/Dallas Sub Reddit. It's quite hilarious.

Some big names from the past! Maybe the new operators of Fair Park will improve on staging these annual events in North Texas by use the three day music festival as an anchor weekend for the (hopefully) inevitable three weeks in April/May Spring Fair.

Not a bad line-up, but way too over-priced, and I'm not a fan of the Cowboys stadium as a venue. Like tamtagon said, a lot of big names from the past, so perhaps they are going for an older crowd. It would explain the venue and the price, as I guess you're paying for a much more convenient and comfortable 'music festival' experience.

The list of artists is pretty good - the only bad thing is the starting ticket price. The location is so-so, and the max ticket prices are irrelevant in my world.
