This design strikes me as referential of the Wyly Theater. Which probably looks like a chapel in comparison.

Somehow I feel like Harwood will destroy the sidewalks and it make it less pedestrian friendly! As w/ most Harwood projects... Meh. Not excited

Construction starts on 27-story high-rise north of downtown Dallas
Law firm Haynes and Boone is the lead tenant in the office tower near the Dallas North Tollway.

The Truluck’s tower sounds like it’s a go. Not sure what the third one in the pipeline is.

Jack-in-the-Box corporate should be lured by Harwood as the lead tenant with a promise to put a gigantic Jack’s ball head with the funny hat as the building’s crown. At least I would have a good laugh every time I see the building instead of this garish Perot museum inspired knock-off.

Bonus: With Jack’s head and hat we might get a 500 footer after all.

Looks like Harwood has secured funding for this project and expected completion is set for mid-2023.

https://www.dallasnews.com/business/rea ... wn-dallas/

...Developer Harwood International has secured funding for its 27-story office tower under construction north of downtown Dallas.

The 360,000-square-foot Harwood No. 14 high-rise is being built on Harry Hines Boulevard near the Dallas North Tollway.

The new office tower is already 45% leased to tenants including law firm Haynes and Boone LP....

Whatever happened to Harwood #12? It was about to be announced as the pandemic exploded. I wonder if it has been shelved permanently?

That's the ~20 story hotel with the curving/concave-ish shape and rooftop pool/deck, right?

I've been wondering about that too (if that's the one you're referring to).

If I remember correctly, weren't they previously pitching #12 as "the tallest" office building in Harwood and/or Uptown, or whatever the deal was? Then, it got reduced to the ~20 story hotel I mentioned..? Like I said, not sure if I'm remember correctly, but keeping up with all of Harwood's shit is a job in of itself.

My recollection was that the "tallest" tower you're speaking of was going to be at Payne and Caroline streets. Not sure whether or not that was #12 though.

What is up with the name of this topic? The district is not, and never has been, named "Harwood International District. It's simply "Harwood District". https://harwooddistrict.com

Can we change the title?

Yes, that is the one I'm referring to. The hotel got labeled Harwood #12 here, but if my memory serves me correctly, the building that was labeled as the "tallest" Harwood tower near AAC was actually #12. They never labeled anything #13. I don't know if the temporary plastic fence announcing the tower is still up, but I'm sure there is a finished rendering of the tower in a locked drawer at the Harwood headquarters. My sense is they'll announce it if & when the impact of COVID has subsided.

Well, the CORPORATION is Harwood International, Inc.

But even on their website they call the DEVELOPMENT Dallas' Harwood District.

According to Harwood's website, it's "boutique hotel, coming soon."

"Soon." Define "soon" using the Harwood International Dictionary, please.
