This seems like a pretty awesome proposal to me. Hopefully they're able to get it passed and going.

The article doesn't say, but the signs on the fence say the land is currently owned by Dallas Water Utilities, and there is a big water tank to the south east fronting Forrest Lane, but not on this particular property.

Nice catch!
Its for the homeless? Austin has a similar thing going on. Called Community First! run by Mobile Loaves and Fish. Hopefully it works out well for the area.

I am all for returning some farming to our urban areas as much as possible.
