Wouldn't the proposed D2 line go straight through this? I believe the tunnel portal would be right on this site. The renderings show the current DART station that will be removed, so I don't think this is recent or accurate.
I'm all in favor of covering the tunnel portal with a high density development, but the fake historic base of that tower is atrocious and the surface parking lot is even more atrocious.
There are misspellings on the page including "arial views" so hopefully this is just an amateur's project or something.

^hahaha the typos and mission statement about prestigious living... for some reason I was just reminded of a thread on the old forum...
Does anyone else remember the Turtle Creek luxury report?

Was that the Rosewood character? Oh wow, that was so long ago.... I think I was still a teenager when I started reading that junk.
Re: The Swiss Tower/Lizard Lounge
It would be fine IMO if they just built out the faux-historic piece to match the existing Lizard Lounge building, but adding the completely contrasting tower on top of it looks really bad. Very theme park-y.

Re: The Swiss Tower/Lizard Lounge
Well, there are some recent LLCs registered under the name of the tower name and the development in general. Also just cause DART plans to go there doesn't mean a developer cant build first and DART would have to adapt their plans. Also, Lizard Lounge was already planning to shut down. I wouldn't be surprised that they have been told that the owner of the land was talking with developers about possibly building on the site. Uber already claimed before the pandemic that they were given an option on the site for another phase if needed. Mind you COVID-19 has muddled a lot of plans and sure did close Lizard Lounge faster than they anticipated.

WOW, talk about a flashback! Yes, it was definitely Rosewood. The old forum was a crazy place back in the day!

Slight throwback, but does anyone else remember the flaming character that lived in 1900 McKinney?
Re: The Swiss Tower/Lizard Lounge
I certainly remember 1999 McKinney! lol
Re: The Swiss Tower/Lizard Lounge
So the Lizard Lounge would remain? Now I understand the owners comments about announcing a new chapter.

Re: The Swiss Tower/Lizard Lounge
I love the scale and location of the tower (especially if D2 passes underneath) but not the odd mix of styles. It's like somebody plopped an early 2000s Miami residential tower onto the Ballpark in Arlington.

Re: The Swiss Tower/Lizard Lounge
From the way I look at it, I wouldn't say the Lizard Louge would remain in operation just the building. My understanding is that the operators of Lizard were looking at new sites in less than a popular area cause they read the writing on the wall. Lizard worked cause it was in an obscure area. A nighttime EDM/concert venue would have not worked pushed up against a luxury apartment tower. I imagine they were just keeping the building for some sort of historical play maybe turn into a restaurant/bar that matches with the area's growth.

So the site was founded in 2016. That youtube video went live 2017. The Greenville Ave office address is nowhere. The Energy Square address does check as Nationsgas Partners and matches a name, although whatever.
