Lower Greenville getting hit hard
Can someone list the places that closed? The pay-wall got me
Lower Greenville has been hit the hardest this week, at least so far. A gastropub with a beautiful patio that opened in 2018, Laurel Tavern, has closed. Eastside Social, a neighborhood bar with a rooftop patio that just opened last year, has suffered the same fate. Same goes for the Wah Wah Room, Eastside Social’s private side room bar that is modeled after a recording studio from the 1970s
In West Dallas, The Foundry, a bar known for particularly great free outdoor live music on weekends, has also closed for good along with Chicken Scratch, the restaurant it is paired with. Owner Christopher Zielke said “it was a fun ride,” but his business “couldn’t survive a lost spring.”
Near downtown Dallas, Ross & Hall Kitchen + Beer Garten, which just opened last year, has announced its closure.
And in Cedar Hill, David’s Seafood Grill has also closed after 14 years.
We’ve previously reported other closures during the pandemic, including high-profile spots like Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck and Bird Cafe.
