I seen this DMN article on Reddit… construction has started.

They’re also using the rendering I’ve posted earlier in this thread. I guess, they’re going with that design?

More than $500 million in buildings going up along Uptown Dallas’ Maple Avenue

Crescent Real Estate just broke ground on its new residential tower at 2811 Maple near the Stoneleigh Hotel. The sleek new high-rise will have more than 170 luxury living units.

Article also talks about the “manhattanization” of Uptown

“As to Maple Avenue, in a word: Wow,” said Robert Young, executive managing director with real estate firm Weitzman, which has had its offices on Maple for more than 30 years. “The major projects and major tenant activity on Maple further remind us — at least me — of a Midtown Manhattan explosion of density and activity.”

“Maple Avenue has become a unique gateway between Turtle Creek and Uptown,” Hines’ senior managing director Ben Brewer said. “With all the new mixed-use developments in north Uptown, there has been a significant focus on great architecture and the pedestrian experience, including wider sidewalks, intriguing open space and thoughtful design for efficient vehicle navigation.

“These improvements will allow residents, retail users and the office community to enjoy this corridor for years to come and help make Dallas a national hotspot for urban development.”

Does anyone know how many levels of underground parking are going to be built under this tower? Word has they are attempting to reach China. LOL.

Actually the biggest and deepest hole ever dug in Dallas was for the nearby Crescent Court building complex. It took more than a year to dig it out.

5 levels - same as this one. Hasn’t there been a 7 level underground garage dug more recently?

Most recent renderings from DMN. I personally like the last iteration better, but a 30+ building is still a win.

Crescent Real Estate’s Maple Avenue tower, where rents start at $4,000, redefines luxury
The sleek 31-story apartment tower in Uptown will be positioned at the top of Dallas’ rental market.

The purple flowerbed in the center of the second rendering is also at the left edge of the lower rendering; that is a pretty vast curb cut

I think it's necessary to interrupt the sidewalk somewhere around the site this way; I would just encourage them to raise the grade so it signals you are well and truly leaving car-only territory -- and entering the school zone crosswalk so to speak...

Also in the middle pic, what is the building in the foreground with the green roof?

It's one of the two restaurant spaces that will be out in front of 23Springs.

23 Springs included. And, yes, that's an updated (long overdue) Harwood XV carrot-dangle sign at the 2840 Bookhout lot.

That lot on Bookhout is where Harwood had planned the Glacier residential tower at one point.
