The Y is nothing as far as the building itself ( ugly ) but it is a community asset for Downtown residents that make it attractive to live there. I would want to see it replaced as part of any new development. If I remember correctly there is also an Uplift Academy in that building which brings vitality to the area... so I am not so unhappy this deal fell through.
As far as a supertall I don't see that happening in Dallas anytime soon as there is just SO MUCH open land available both Downtown and our vast suburbs. We do not have the density in Dallas to make a supertall cost effective. Maybe 2050.
