North Dallas: The Hill (ex-Corner Shopping Center)

Postby itsjrd1964 » 08 Dec 2018 00:39

Treehouse, the home-improvement retailer which decided to be an anchor at the shopping center at Central/Walnut Hill, and moved its home base here from Austin, has decided to fold. The announcement didn't include when the Dallas and Plano locations would close. It will be interesting to see if The Hill can find another anchor (or anchors) to fill Treehouse's space.

^ I’m sure they will fairly easily. The center has gone through an extensive & innovative reconceptulization and is very appealing. The Treehouse space is not that large either. Maybe a co-working space would fet in that area that gears towards health professionals??

I went to TreeHouse once. It was a very cool store, but there was very little you could actually purchase on the showroom floor, minus a bunch of home automation stuff like Nest that you can get basically anywhere. Bizarre place. Not surprised it's folding.
