Good question. It's a lot closer to Love Field and its landing patterns.

I searched and used the numbers from these two sites and came up with a difference between ground elevation and height restriction for the block in question of about 280-300 feet. So maybe something slightly less than that if I'm even calculating correctly?

Might be something to ask Dallas Public Library reference librarians.

PegasusAblon last year obtained zoning to construct the residential towers behind the retail strip along Cedar Springs Avenue at Throckmorton Street.

The developer was given approval to build two residential towers on the parking lots behind the existing buildings.

Construction is set to start in January to make way for the new buildings, according to planning documents filed with the state.

So is this thing dead in the water now?

"On hold" due to higher interest rates.

I was so looking forward to these to spur more high rise dense development to Oak Lawn. Sad.

I never thought these would make it out of the ground. The fact that they are right behind a strip center of bars makes it very tough to gain financing. Who is going to live next to a strip center of bars? Very unappealing.

Maybe this deal was just delaying the inevitable and new developers will finally swoop into this area and tear down and build up.

Oak Lawn & Lemmon Shell station is gone and fencing up around the old Lucky’s Chicken. Pizza Hut still looks open though. I’d love to see all of this redeveloped.

Maybe the original High rise apartment building with Eatzis incorporated into the first floor is happening and more going down to the Lucky's site as well.

That plan was to keep Eatzi's where it is and share a parking structure for additional parking.
