I've never been to Nashville (but have heard great things), so it's hard for me to compare what it's like to Fort Worth.

With that said, I definitely feel like Fort Worth has some huge potential as both a tourist destination and also another Texas boomtown. I realize it's already been booming right along with the rest of Texas, but I could see it getting more nationwide recognition in the coming years.

Fort Worth is becoming more impressive by the year. If not exactly at breakneck speed, it's steadily more exciting in it's projects. And what they've done conceptually at the Stockyards, most recently with the mule barn area, is very thoughtful. It bears a general resemblance to The Pearl in San Antonio, complete with promenade along a meandering creek. Authentic made lux.

I would love to see a farmers market added to the Stockyards.

The Cowtown Coliseum, a decades-old venue for rodeos and other western events, has just completed an interior remodel. New monitors, concert-style lighting, and a VIP area have been added. Exterior renovations to the complex are still to come. Despite the presence of other, newer venues in the area, including the new Dickies Arena, the Cowtown Coliseum still boasts around 200 events each year.

On a side note, I feel like FW is really starting to blossom. It feels very pre-explosion Austin.
