While searching for info on the forthcoming Deep Ellum Hostel, I found this website for a place called L3 Hostel in Downtown Dallas. It doesn't seem to be related to the DE Hostel at all. Their social media accounts say they haven't opened yet. Has anybody heard anything about this? The founder seems to be local and dedicated to the cause of having a well run hostel in Dallas with knowledgeable staff.

How did you determine that? By the floorplate layout?

That does look similar to an upper floor I've been on there. If it's ready to open, it has to be in an existing building. Otherwise, downtown land prices would probably be too much for a small-format hostel. Good idea, but I would have thought Deep Ellum or maybe the Cedars before putting it in DTD.

They actually have the location in their FAQ already. So location confirmed.

And that project died months ago. The Third floor of Alto211 already has another tenant moved in.

You'd think they'd take their website and Facebook page down if the business didn't end up proceeding.
