Not surprising. This guy gets a lot of black ink for blue sky dreams. NewPark will never happen. If there is a new convention center, I suspect other interests & developers will build in the same general vicinity. He'll never break ground.

Hoax doing Hoax things in the town of the cow.

"The city of Fort Worth has resumed its search for a master developer to take over the Evans and Rosedale project two months after it canceled its $70M contract with Hoque Global."

Not saying hold your breath cause not even a spec of dirt has been moved in 7 years since this was announced but I do see some potential as it was updated last month for a “November 2024” start date. Financing might be more favorable this year given some optimism in the market but we will have to see how it shakes out with interest rates and what not.

I think this is the last updated renderings with heights:

I like the buildings and it’s actually a great location. Hopefully something happens here.

Out of curiosity I went ahead and tossed those heights into google earth to see how the buildings would look from the vantage points of the pictures I posted in the Daily Digital thread. Obviously these aren't perfect, but should give a good idea of the gentle visual slope down from BOA Plaza these three buildings would give to the skyline here.

Really nice. I think the height is appropriate and it fills a clear void.
Hopefully another developer buys Hoque out and starts something.
Even with a slightly favorable market, I think Hoque will still look worse after the FW fiasco.

This is from the proposal Hoque gave to the city back in June 2024 to receive the 96 million dollars in subsidies from the city. They must start construction before the end of the year or they will forfeit the money.
