Turtle Creek: The Vivante at Turtle Creek (2505 TC)

Not sure if this project will ever take off.

It's proposed at the corner of Fairmount and Turtle Creek Blvd.

I love that "New Release of Suites" banner on the website. LOL Is this being marketed by the same people who marketed/are marketing Museum Tower?

I had forgotten about this one. I would have thought they would be underway by now if it was a solid project.

Went by the site in the last couple of days. For all the buildup/preview-artwork/etc, that this one has had, it sure does have a lot of crickets there (instead of what should be on the site by now).

We need to get more of these business relocations to happen downtown / uptown and not PlanoFrisco to fill up highrise condo towers. The tollway is no longer the Dallas autobahn as it used to be known, it might as well have a 40 mph speed limit with the traffic and the execs who can afford these units aren't interested in sitting in traffic to get to their highrise.

Centurion American has purchased this property and is planning 2 residential buildings (1 condo building and 1 apartment complex). The apartment complex will have 200 units, the condo tower will have only 10 units with the smallest unit starting at 8000sf. Expected cost- $250 million

Centurion is on a roll with building stuff and they seems to have the capacity to have a lot of balls in the air so this might happen even if the design ends up being less than world ground breaking like the previous proposal.

I'm sensing some more confidence in the market these days. Feels like we're getting more positive news on new towers coming soon and new restaurant/retail openings too.

Really glad to see this site get activated. I drove by the other day thought how long will this sit empty, I guess not that long.

Hopefully Centurion will have a different name in mind for the place.

Looking forward to renderings! The two lots are in such a desirable area, I trust something will be built.

The only high rise on Centurion's website is The Statler.

I hope they can pull this off.

On a related note, the Cabana Motel is still an eyesore, the Condos by DMN still untouched...

I'm optimistic that this will get done.. buy somewhat skeptical

But Plano Collin Creek is progressing steadily last I drove by and they have a few other rather large scaled projects moving in the burbs that are mixes of apartments, homes and shopping. I know we all want our wish list of projects completed first but they are a company trying to make a profit and the burbs are popping in some ways more than the central city. Not to mention they have locked up a pretty significant amount of land in South Dallas for a long term project of homes, shopping commercial projects.

I also would love to believe if they didn't sign on to too many projects that another developer would replace them and build something better but I am not so sure. The Statler sat empty for decades and took forever to find someone who didn't think 8ft ceilings would kill the project dead in the water. The Cabana was going to be torn down for a data center and the county was willing to allow it. Collin Creek maybe but after comparing it to Valley View, frozen half torn down, and every other dying mall in DFW me thinks they took on a pretty big undertaking and have actually made progress replacing a mall with housing and revamping the shopping spaces.

Somewhat OT: Any news about neighboring 2525 Turtle Creek?

I’ve heard the HOA is marketing it aggressively, but I know nothing more than that.

Just updating this thread with the latest thread title adjustment so future details aren't only buried in the Oak Lawn catch-all thread.

The name alone is enough to cancel it.

There’s a crane going up in the lot next to this where the old apts were just torn down. I assume it’s the same developer.

No that’s the 2525 Turtle Creek project by Hanover Cos. Speaking of, I’ve never been able to find any renderings of it. Nothing on Hanover website. Anyone know where to find renderings?
