Nothing has sold since May, but it does look like there are only two left. Someone some time back must have bought two units and combined them.

Is the penthouse still a split deal?

Also, I heard from a couple of residents (so, just anecdotal or whatever) that no buyer wants to take on owning the rooftop option because they would be responsible to buy the full roof insurance for the tower which would be astronomical apparently. . . (?) I forget if I ever mentioned this before, but, I've heard it a couple times now.

The top floor penthouse was originally marketed as one unit with the option of a huge rooftop area. They found no buyers for that and eventually sold the space as two separate units (both have sold). I cannot decipher whether they sold the rooftop space, but from what I can see in the deeds, I think probably not.

It's time to put that one unit up for auction and be done with it.

Seems odd that the one remaining unit is 202. You'd think that would go easier.

LOL True. But I think they actually closed that sale very early in the month... like Feb 2 IIRC

Too bad they just didn't have the resolve to fix the reflection problem. They would have sold out years ago.

It'd be interesting to know what the actual repair would have cost them and compare that to money spent/lost by dragging out the sale of units (not sure how to accurately calculate that either). This isn't taking into account the "good neighbor" or "civically minded" approach we'd like all local businesses and people to have. Just wondering if the "business decision" was worth it financially to the company that built and managed the building.

There is no evidence that the reflection problem had any significant impact on their sales. Sales were slow from the outset.

We'll never know, but it's a sell out now. How many units are up for re-sale now? That will be interesting to see how those do in this tough real estate market.
