Dallas' venerable Mansion on Turtle Creek hotel is kicking off a major addition.
The luxury hotel with 143 rooms and suites sits just north of Uptown at Turtle Creek Boulevard and Gillespie Street.
Since opening its doors 36 years ago, the Mansion has been a favorite of affluent business guests and tourists.

To keep up with visitor demands, the hotel is adding a parking garage and an amenity deck on the north side of the building.
A spokesperson for the hotel said Tuesday that details about the project and its timing can't be disclosed yet. Building permits say the construction will total over 111,000 square feet and will cost more than $12 million.
Three Living Architecture designed the project. Hensel Phelps is the general contractor.
