Wow, that's definitely a good amount of activity considered not everything is done/open, it's the hottest part of the year, and we are still dealing with COVID-19.

I'm very glad to see this seems to be a success so far!

Good work, AT&T. (Although, I did drop you for T-Mobile)

Wow looks great. Imagine if we had this during the superbowl.
Would have made for a good equivalent to Sundance Square
Maybe for the upcoming world cup if we can get some games

I know this is getting repetitive lol, but another one chiming in to say that this project is SO good and will be so much fun to visit once the world fixes itself. Coaxed a longtime Dallas resident friend to come downtown with me and she was blown away that this even existed.

drove by yesterday after work and they put up the new pegasus city brewery sign.. looks really good and was lit up nicely.

Commerce street really improving with all of this and will only get better with hawthorn and pegasus city opening soon.

Main Street for awhile has carried the bulk of good things to see and do. Its good to see Commerce pick up the slack.

Wow, gorgeous. Reminds me of old theatre row down elm street.
Hopefully we can get a few others going down commerce.

Tremendous. Love it, love it, love it. Pegasus City's branding is so great already, and this is just another home run IMO.

Can't wait to get down there once they open (post-pandemic).

I haven't been down in quite a while, but the brewery isn't directly next to the Discovery District, is it?

Looking at Google Maps, it seems like it is one block east. I for some reason had thought it would have a patio facing the district.

Correct, it looks like the outdoor spot of pegasus brewery will be looking at the hawhorn resturant and starbucks on the outside of the discovery district. Its a nice addition to that side of the district over by the cowboys fit gym.. all in all this development came out better than i thought it would and driving home from work, im amazed how many people are gravitating towards it even before the major rollout.

I found this on YouTube. It’s a vlog of a weekend trip to Dallas. Skip to 5:36 to see AT&T discovery district. I’m surprised it’s that busy.

From the video, it looks very successful so far...even with COVID

This place is on fire. For anyone who hasn't been down there yet I highly would recommend checking it out. The screen alone is worth making a special trip for. But beyond that, the level of pedestrian activity is off the charts for downtown. I've never seen anything like it. And the food hall is barely even open yet! Jaxon's is as packed as the Katy Trail Ice House every time we've stopped by. It seems like this district is pulling street-level activity into itself from every other part of downtown like a giant magnet.

It will be interesting to see if The National can capitalize on all this momentum when it opens. As you can see in their renderings, it's a straight shot down Akard between the two developments. The only barrier between them really is the homeless encampment at Pegasus Plaza. If the city could get that cleaned up, this corridor could become extremely vibrant

I stopped by this afternoon for a couple drinks. I'd say it was decently busy, considering they are still in their 'soft opening' phase.

The service was great, the interior looked fantastic, but I felt like their patio needed a bit of work. I think I may have overheard one of the employees saying it was still a work in progress and they had bigger/better plans for the outdoor space, which was good to hear! All in all, it's a very welcome addition to Downtown, and I think they'll do really well given they are in the Discovery District.

Yes I saw that they were open yesterday! Discovery District is really changing downtown overnight. When looking East down Jackson St, It's really easy to see how 200 Pearl/Harwood Park is going to connect East Quarter, Farmer' Market, Deep Ellum, and the heart of downtown.

AT&T District gifts downtown Dallas with new sushi and Texas brasserie
Two new restaurants are coming to a building in the AT&T Discovery District in downtown Dallas, from a gallery of names that are familiar to the local food & beverage industry.

These restaurants will open at The Second Floor at The Exchange, located a 211 S. Akard St.:

Ounce is a Texas brasserie helmed by chef Brian Zenner
Ichi Ni San is a non-traditional Japanese restaurant from chef Peja Krstic

And cocktails will be from Alex Fletcher, the Beverage Director for Hospitality Alliance, the restaurant group putting this all together.

They'll open on December 16, starting with dinner first.

Is "The Exchange" the name of the food hall that is coming to this area?

Great, thanks for sharing! For whatever reason, I wasn't able to find their website when I did a quick google. Per their website, it looks like we can expect: 2 bars, 2 restaurants, 14 eateries.

This is hands down the biggest game Changer project in the urban core. Last night was beyond packed and everyone was out having a dope time and someone said "not used to seeing this many people out in downtown dallas". Also klyde Warren was packed with backed up traffic and it was just so much energy all over the core.

Completely agree. They did an amazing job picking out vendors. I was there on Friday and my son, my wife, and I all ordered from different places and everything was very good.

Great news! I'll have to revisit this area to check out the Food Hall. The few times I've been to the Discovery District, it's been packed like everyone is saying.

I'd love to see Hard Rock Cafe open up somewhere not too far from this area to give people another touristy thing to do in the vicinity.

The concept is great but the last incarnation of Hard Rock we had here in Dallas was so incredibly bad.

I'm not sure if I ever went to the one in Dallas. If I did, it obviously wasn't a memorable experience.

I'm not a huge fan or anything, but it does seem like a staple touristy restaurant that would draw people to the area and give people more to do outside the Discovery District. I realize there are already a lot of restaurants/bars outside the Discovery District, but I can't think of any of them as being 'touristy'.

Hey if you want the next touristy thing near AT&T get rid of the servers in the old Dallas Federal Reserve right behind AT&T and bam you've got a awesome building for something like a Hard Rock or something else as fun. I will say it would be nice to have some serious entertainment option. Even a venue the size of the Hifi which they finally opened near Victory Park, would be awesome for the Discovery District.

I got a chance to check out The Exchange food hall this weekend. I was very impressed. Great design and layout. My companion and I tried food from four different spots and everything was great. It was about 1:00 on Saturday afternoon and the place was very lively. I'll definitely go back.

BTW, I work in Legacy West and compared to Legacy Hall, The Exchange wins easily. Legacy Hall is too dark and feels a little tight and claustrophobic.

That's great to hear! When Legacy Hall opened up, I was a bit envious of it and wanted something similar in Dallas, and now it looks like we have it.

Also, now that the newness of the hall has worn off, I don't think I'm as envious as I used to be.

I went to the Exchange on a Sunday afternoon and it was busy. Lots of energy! I felt like I was in NYC or Chicago. Incredible. This place blows away Legacy Hall in Plano. That place feels a little "cookie-cutter and "suburb" for my taste. It's also way too dark inside. A big win for downtown Dallas.

I'm really not too sure what more could be done about that. It's right next to the AT&T headquarters, it's well located near a few hotels, there's a good amount of Residential in the area, and the Discovery District is quite the destination as well.

I guess I'm not terribly surprised to hear this, but it's really crazy to think that this particular place has a lot going for it and still seems to struggle to gain customers.

Newsflash... Downtown Dallas' IS a parking lot.
