I like it. And adding critical mass is always a victory for Victory. I agree that this will be welcome support for the lunch business, which will benefit the residents too.

There is relatively little office here— just the existing Hillwood Building and the Plaza Buildings. When this one fills, it will validate the office market and lead to other projects.

It looks like they’ve started. I’ve seen construction equipment and ground torn up (on the site) driving south on Stemmons. Maybe 1 or 2 good piles of debris.

New retail started next to Cinepolis—escape rooms. What am I missing? Is this considered to be a win for the main drag of a major development? Is it the demographic?

BTW, I visited VP a few weeks ago to get a taste of the new nightlife scene and I have to say I was whether impressed! It's still only a few venues but Hero and Dibs where both pretty active not packed but relatively active. It was very busy at Billy Can Can and a few other restaurants down the street. But ultimately the feel and design of this neighborhood is very beautiful, unique, and well done! There was even a small crowd walking around to the various venues around the neighborhood. At this moment it's all very small but it seems the only missing ingredient is more bars. If at least ~4 bars that stay open until 2 am open, this will become the next new nightlife destination! It will still be small but that probably when it will be more pronounced.

I also tried the new wine bar, Burgundy Swine, in VP. Unfortunate name, but the service was attentive, prices were fair and the space was comfortable.

We went Friday evening to HERO and had a great time it was around 7:30. What impressed me was that there was nothing at the arena or any other event and yet Hero was busy and the other places were too with people walking around. I think this area is going to be very popular in the fall with nice weather and all of the college football games.

I've seen Hero ads on local TV at the LA Fitness I go to and I forget its managed by the people that manage HG Supply on Lower Greenville.

Word will spread pretty quickly about this area once NBA/NHL season starts up again. Glad to hear things are going well so far, though.

Apparently the spot near Sift + Pour that started being built out will be Chipotle. The doorman of the W mentioned this, supporting what another user had previously posted.

That spot had displayed a sign for Feed me Pronto earlier this year, so I wonder where that will be, if it ever opens.

Scaffolding is being set up around the old Dallas Brewery / Starck Club building. Wondering if they have moved from demo and abatement to construction.

I'm a little fuzzy on the details since it's been a while, but the last I heard is they were planning to incorporate the Starck Club's famous round door into the new project. I think you're right about there being talk about re-launching the club, but it doesn't seem like that's what happening now.

I remember reading that an athletic club was going to be part of the Starck revival.

Looks like they are getting ready to sandblast or paint the Brewery building. The parking lot is empty now, but for the work crews.

Hines jumped over to doing a residential tower is seems in the land they are now developing near the W. While Hillwood Urban is building a spec office tower instead.

Austin is building a tower that looks remarkably similar to what Hines wanted to build except the one in Austin is much larger. Actually I hope Hines redesigns that tower before they bring it out of the ground.

A rendering of an Uber Elevate "station" which happens to be situated in Victory. I haven't read/seen much about how Uber is planning to execute Elevate, but apparently they're going to be heliports perched on a park and ride-style garages. Makes sense and as expensive as this surely is, it's still far cheaper (and more flexible) than a light rail system. The downside is that it's not economically accessible, being basically mass transit for the affluent. lol

That's the city parking garage built as part of the American Airlines Center parking improvement project. Looks like they basically just added a new exterior and helipads to the top.

It seems like Uber Elevate in Dallas means the city should negotiate a deal to hand over the heliport on the Dallas Conventions Center for Uber to upgrade and tie into the high-speed rail station coming just across the freeway. I imagine the helideck would need to be bigger and add amenities but I am sure Uber could make something of it if the city gave them incentives to make it into something connected to the wider transportation network that will be in that area.

This is one of the towers Hillwood proposed for Amazon's Dallas Victory Park HQ. That version was a few floors taller but at least we will be getting a nicely landscaped park/plaza at the DART station as part of this project.

Since Hillwood is the exclusive developer for Uber flying taxis it's likely Hillwood will eventually build a heliport of some sort nearby either on the parking garage the city built or as part of another Hillwood proposal on their remaining parcels.

Walked through Victory yesterday, and it looked like Feed Me Pronto was having a soft opening at 2401 Victory Park Ln. Healthy grab & go concept that should fit in well in the neighborhood.

Does anyone have an idea why the retail space at the bottom of The House hasn't been leased? I understand that it is not controlled by Trademark but it seems odd that space around the neighborhood's park, main office building, and House of Blues sits empty. Even Hard Rock will be leaving soon and I feel like something more neighborhood focused could do well there.

Same situation for the restaurant space at the bottom of One Victory Park. I hope whatever goes in there eventually has an entrance on the street - right now the only way to enter the space is to go through the building lobby.

I'm pretty sure there was a rendering of a new building in the Design District along Riverfront that had a Hard Rock logo on it. Outside of that one rendering, I don't think anything else was said about the any Hard Rock Hotel.

If Hard Rock is planning to reopen and possibly with a hotel, at the convention center or in the heart of the West End by the aquarium or Dealey Plaza makes the most sense.
