There have been many plans over the years to buy/redevelop/reopen the sprawling, long-closed resort hotel complex just west of DFW. Now there is new interest from a consortium of buyer/developers, who want to really make something of the place again. They are collectively sinking $65 million, with plans for 157 rooms, spa with natural spring waters, plus meeting/event space. The group wants to be done/opened with the resort complex in 3 years' time.

Apparently those behind the renovation and eventual reopening of the hotel are just now starting on the work to redo and renovate the Baker.
