July 1, 2016 Census Bureau estimates release

Released this morning. DFW metropolitan statistical area passed Houston in '15-'16 to be first in the nation once again for net domestic migration, as it was before the shale fracking boom.


Quick summary:

DFW has gained 807,000 residents since the April 2010 census. 445K were through migration and 358K through natural increase of births over deaths, with 4K not quite adding up. Of the 445,000 net migrants, 140.5K were from out of the USA while 304.5K were domestic migrants.
