I have been here a few times now. It is a beautiful park and a great asset for downtown. Now if we could just get people to actually use it.

When I drive by I almost always see people in there but it might take a while to get significant traction. I know KW wasn't packed right away.

I think they should have made the children’s area larger - there are 4 swings and a teeter totter, and that’s basically it for the kids.

Could that part of the park be adjusted later (depending on visitor demand and/or realization of an increase in DTD youth population)?

How's Pacific Plaza Park looking these days? Other than empty I mean.

It's looking great. I was there probably a week ago. Landscaping look maintained and overall pretty clean. It wasn't empty, actually, people were kicking the ball around, walking dogs, running, etc. It wasn't crowded so people did maintain their distances.

Before CovID I saw someone post a picture where I assume some kids took all the orange furniture and jammed it into the lawn for fun. At first, it looked like they broke the legs off and then I looked at the photo again that it appeared that they just took advantage of freshly wet soil from rain. Which is part of the reason we ended up with cities with almost no furniture in the parks except nailed down picnic tables and in some cases benches with spikes.

Here is a timelapsed video of the construction of the park that was posted seven months ago.

Found this article, praising Pacific Plaza's use of lighting at night.
