I think it's important to point out Hillwood has a close relationship with Amazon and any development Amazon does in DFW will probably be through Hillwood. Hillwood knew how to woo them for Alliance and I am sure they tried really hard to woo them for their Downtown Dallas property.

Fort Worth Looks to Rename Alliance Airport

"Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport" is what FTW city leaders have chosen as a new name, if the council votes to approve it... but the FAA also has to approve the change.

IMO::::: too long, and most people who care just call it "Alliance" or "Alliance Airport". FTW wants it to be a field and an airport? Too much duplication.

I guess that's better than the Dallas system of naming things after two-bit politicians (Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, Ron Kirk Bridge) and crooks (Eddie Bernice Johnson Union Station, Al Lipscomb Way).

At least so far its just Love Field and not Southwest Love Dallas Field Airport

I wish the naming thing would end. Do we really not have better things to do than rename buildings and streets?
