Aimed squarely at the bar scene west of downtown, traffic flow changes are about to come--several two-way streets will convert to one-way streets. Included in the changes are: Foch, Norwood, Bledsoe, and Morton. Crockett and Currie will not change to one-way. Other changes will include more signage, sidewalks, and parking meters.

I've only been to this area once before, so maybe I'm wrong, but isn't this a bad thing? Seems like a way to prioritize cars over pedestrians in an urban part of town.

Yeah, its creates speedways instead of more careful traffic management but I would have to see the study done to know if they truly are making a big mistake. Without any details, this is a mistake and ignoring reality which is that popular places will have traffic. Proper coordination of street parking, garages, and valet stands are the best tools along with thoughtful transit integration for those few trips that might actually use a bus or bike. Converting the streets for the bar scene exclusively is a very bad decision for street-level retail.

Fort Worth's plan to one-way several West 7th-area streets (which started Monday) has already led to confusion. (What a surprise...)

Now the city of Fort Worth wants to reduce and change up parking availability in the West 7th area. Bus and bike lanes look to be part of the plan.
