do we have anyone here who regularly rides the A-Train who can see if they've started any work on the facility to get it ready for the FLIRTs?

Scratch that, looks like instead of rooming with DCTA, what was previously planned as a layover facility just west of Shiloh station will now be the full maintenance and storage facility.

Over two recent Sat/Sun nights the main lanes of the Dallas North Tollway were closed to first widen the rail bridge for the second track for the Silver Line and then add a pedestrian bridge for the paralleling hike and bike trail. The link shows how Mammoet moved and set the pedestrian bridge.
