True, but I see this as a good thing. Dallas has matured so much since Uptown first began, so, while Uptown filled up faster, DTD will absolutely fill up better. It will certainly take longer, so you won't have developers throwing up quick/easy apartments like they did in Uptown. Most developments will likely be high in quality and will, therefore, take longer, but will be well worth the wait.
