And, naturally, it is only right to continue the existence of this thread. Welcome back! And, as always, the best camera is the one that is with you. . .

I'll start it off with some recent mobile phone photos.

The fireworks from reunion produced some stunning photos. They did a wonderful job with them.

I've always loved this picture from Park District's Facebook page of the completed project on the skyline. And to think the AMLI Fountain Place tower and Hall Arts Tower will be adding significant additions to this view. And with the Flora & Olive residential tower scheduled to start Dec. 1st of this year this view will be pretty phenomenal in the next couple of years.

While a new skyscraper would be awesome, I'd take something like the Discovery District at street level over a new skyscraper any day.

I am happy with AT&Ts plans currently unless they plan on moving a substantial amount of their new acquisitions to Dallas.

If they do it right, talent retention. Unemployment has been so low over the last 3-4 years that talent retention is becoming a huge deal. AT&T's most talented workers are constantly getting propositioned to work in campuses like Salesforce's new complex, or Apple's, or Google's, etc etc. AT&T did say flat-out that the downtown campus revamp is to help "attract and retain employees." What they are doing is very nice but it is not a forever solution. Those buildings are all old or ancient. You can only put so much lipstick on them. AT&T needs to be thinking about a high tech future HQ building if they are going to be the digital overlord of America.

I propose tearing down the ho-hum building at the southeast corner of Commerce and Field after building a new generic glass office building at the southwest corner of Wood and Akard to replace it. Then, build something tall and iconic on the Commerce and Field site to serve as the main HQ building going forward.

I'd love to see it happen, that side of downtown needs some fresh development with a more modern look. Some new residential development wouldn't be bad either since they are working so hard to attract talent, maybe something mixed use could work. A hotel and office product or hotel and residential.

Downtown Dallas with CityPlace skyline in foreground, 11-27-18

With the cluster of towers having been built over the last few years surrounding the 42 story 560 foot tall CityPlace tower, it has created its own "skyline" at the northernmost edge of Uptown.

What an incredible view from the roof top terrace of this stunning contemporary home for sale located at 1905 Malone Cliff View, nestled above the historic Belmont Hotel in the Oak Cliff neighborhood just west of Downtown Dallas.

Meh...I wish those old homes on Malone Cliff view would have become a park...A cool coit tower like viewing area would've been better. Something everyone can enjoy.

There's another amazing view from the I-30 and Hampton Road interchange. A park around here would be nice too.

Yeah except you're going to have make major changes to i30 & Hampton exits. Which is unlikely

Great photos, thanks for sharing. It is crazy that with all the development that is happening/has happened, some of these still look very much like "before" photos.
