They kind of all run together, but that's a Sleep Experts up on 635. Sleep Number tends to be a tad more upscale. There is one at Grapevine Mills, Shops of Southlake, Park Lane in Dallas... Might be a good fit for this development. I was never actually a fan of having a fast food drive-thru there. ...

The bare concrete portions of the main building look really bad. I was hoping/expecting some kind of surface treatment to improve the appearance, but with the first residents already in that's looking less and less likely. I agree and it's such a shame because it's a good looking building otherwise...

I've been working in Victory Park since August and I'm very impressed with the way things are turning out down here. I hope these places all open and STAY open. Granted, mistakes have been made, but the potential is definitely here for Victory Park to become a wonderful part of town.

I drove past this development last week and first of all, that hotel is horribly unattractive imo. But more importantly, are we sure work is still being done on this project? The site was horribly overgrown and looked as if no activity has gone on there in a while.

It seems that Whiskey Cake on Regent is a go (permits have been granted). Anyone know any of the new retailers coming into the strip on 635 east of Cowboy Chicken? The new Pinstack seems to be a roaring success so far. Also, I noticed a new Dairy Queen is going up off 183 and Story Road.

I have never had the impression that the very expensive retailers in downtown Dallas were intended to be marketed to/shopped by office workers or local residents even. I always assumed they were there for the tourists (both international and from both East and West Texas) who fill up the hotel room...

Okay muncien, I have an answer for you. I emailed the leasing agent for the Las Colinas Village shopping center to see if he had an idea. He was kind enough to reply back right away. He said a hotel will be going up on that site. I wonder what brand it will be. A hotel seems like an odd choice here...

Looks like work may have finally started again at the Whole Foods Store. A construction trailer and several of those big metal containers have been parked next to the store. And the parking lot in front of the store has been fenced off.
