Recent progress shot. Some of the concrete for the ground floor has been poured, and what appears to be a ramp is taking shape. So far it's not just another prefab garage that goes up quickly.

God they've been taking forever with this project. Based on Google Earth imagery they started work on this in late 2018, and that second bridge span they just installed has been onsite since last October.

Aerial tramways are generally only really useful in specific situations where other modes are infeasible or take much longer/farther, like if you're trying to go up a very tall and steep hill or cliff. Part of the black plywood construction fence facing Akard Station finally came down today. I've been riding the train semi-regularly to regularly since 2017, and if I'm remembering right the fence has been up that whole time.
