Yeah, depending on how the Sheraton parking garage is constructed, it would be nice if that first level could be turned into restaurant/retail. Not sure what the building on Live Oak & Harwood houses, but that would be a good one to convert as well.

^True. I get annoyed/frustrated often but always stay optimistic. West End is supposedly still getting a "food hall" at Factory Six03. Hopefully the WE park, Holocaust Museum, and leasing of the Purse Building will help liven up other areas of DT as well.

Nice! Didn't know about the juice place. Walked around the West End, and noticed a sign and some construction at the old Ellen's place. Sign says it's for "Burgerim."

Was at VP around 8 last night. A lot of the plywood covering retail storefronts has come down. The Imoto entrance looks better now. There's also a new ramen place with a large patio next to the Cinepolis that looks like it will be opening soon.

I'm rarely downtown on Sunday mornings, so not sure if people stick around after their services. But when I visit downtown during the week I rarely see anybody around the FBC premises. I haven't kept up, but I haven't read anything that says it will definitely become a garage.

I like how they're extending the enclosed bottom portion of the triangular building for more retail/restaurant space. Also, I didn't realize they're wanting to close the street next to it for pedestrians.

Agree w/ Dpatel. I'd say Discovery District for creating a destination for downtown, East Quarter for merging downtown and Deep Ellum, and I'd add the Holocaust Museum for hopefully bringing more activity to the West End.

A few years ago when I was in NYC, I saw this building, 488 Madison Avenue, and it seriously reminded me of 505 N Ervay. They were both completed in 1949. Of course the New York one is a lot nicer, haha.
