Looks like Uptown Urban Market at Gables Villa Rosa is struggling. The Slider spot, La Duni and Fireside Pies have closed.

Top Pot Doughnuts at SkyHouse is no more. I popped in there on Sunday and noticed a few cartons of banker boxes and almost asked if they were moving. I did ask whether they had been busy and the barista told me they had been very slow.
It was my go to for donuts downtown. I will miss it.

I think that they had every intention of putting in trees, but when they tried to dig up the sidewalk to plant them, they found it to but much more cost-prohibitive than anticipated. I would argue the exact opposite is true. CitySquare squandered lots of money in the Cottages project. You can build a three bedroom house for what it cost them to build one cottage (nothing but a pre fab looking Shed). I believe each unit cost around $160,000.
