To be honest I don't see a lot of room down there for 4-5 different restaurant types, I would think that the remaining space alone would be a tad small for a La Madel...

The exterior cladding has started to make an appearance. Saw it from up and far away but it looks very white.It also appears they are working on the individual retail spaces or close to it.

They are pouring the 7th floor and it's apparent they will be moving up to 8 as the forms for the ramps to go up another level are already in place. Huge garage keeps getting larger. I guess one more after 8 for a total of 9?

That is an enormous unshaded plaza area, I'm a little surprised they didn't try to do something to shade even a little bit of that area. They could have put up a giant louver not unlike what surrounds The Winspear. I guess that costs too much.

There are 8 garage floors so the top of that would be the 9th floor if that makes sense. The outdoor patio garden and pool look to be on 9.

I believe there was some discussion around this very issue when Harwood proposed those two supertalls and many here thought Harwood was testing the waters to see what could get approved. Is there a chance that is happening here, they are just testing the waters.

Personally I like the idea of Uptown getting some infill hotels like this with event space contained in the building that will more than likely be booked well in advance. This one is good, the WV hotel is great, in reality I'd love to see more of these scattered about.

Back on AMLI, an observation about the now completed 10 story parking garage. Being in an office that looks down on this complex I can not help but notice that they have an abundance of parking in that garage. So much so that once you get above the third level there appear to be very few cars parked...

I remember when the number was 4,000, then 6,000 but always going up. 10,700 doesn't sound unreasonable at this point. Downtown, Uptown, VP and DE are so closely tied together I don't know how you just exclude them anymore.

I much prefer this to having the rangers move into the city, this is perfect. For local residents, you can even walk on the Katy Trail to go to a game and stop at a local restaurant or bar on the way home. I can't wait to see what kind of local support the team gets.
