So how did we get to this point? Is this a land owner unwilling to sell the land? Is this developers simply not wanting to purchase this block? Is the land owner asking too much for the property? I'm sort of baffled. It almost seems like the owner has some sort of grudge against Uptown!

Yes, Dream Cafe is moving into some of that space. Mexican Sugar would probably go for a higher profile location too. Now that I think about it, maybe the old Perry's Steakhouse or perhaps the endcap at McKinney & Olive. Both of those would fit their size requirement.

Another article talking about Haywire, but this one also mentions that FB Society will also bring their Mexican Sugar concept to Uptown later this year. Not sure where that might go?? Here's some good news.... Haywire will be taking over the old Water Grill location on McKinney. Haywire has a location at Legacy West. Concept is owned by FB Society which also owns Sixty Vines, Whiskey Cake, The Ranch, Velvet Taco and a few others. Good food! Should be a really nice fit here... htt...

Unfortunately the Hidden Ridge development appears to be stalled, and probably for quite some time. The Carpenter Ranch Station will get very little use for at least a few years. I guess it'll still be nice to have it done though!

Looks like Northland Properties is moving forward with the first of their 2 hotels in the Star Park project. It'll be a 6 story hotel with an attached restaurant. Most likely this will the Sandman Signature Hotel with an attached Moxie's (just like what they did in Plano).

Hoping these will actually look better once completed. I mean, they're fine. For 5G Studios these designs are pretty bland. Those guys do some incredible work! Was really hoping the 2nd tower would have a different look. Not a big fan of having 2 towers that basically look the same!
