There's a new rendering on site at the Epic. It's for the buildings across the street and to the left of the hotel. The rendering seems to show a modern office cube on top of the old buildings. I thought it looked pretty cool. I'll try to snap a picture next time I drive by it.

Hillwood doesn't have a great track record with urban things, probably why they're so conservative. As much as Victory Park has improved, they really built it with a poor pedestrian experience in mind. I'm admittedly a little concerned about phase 1. It eerily reminds me of how they created Victory Park back in 2006. Development only being on one side of the street (or in this case a park) has me a little worried. Hopefully I'm wrong though. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I'm no train expert, but how would a tunnel with a diesel-powered train like work? Would they just create the most ventilated tunnel ever? In the off chance event that they end up getting forced to dig a tunnel, will they potentially need to go electric for this line?

This kind of reminds me of Brickell City Centre in Miami. Say what you want about the architecture of this project, but Downtown Dallas has been kinda needing a development of this style for a while. This thing will possibly create an important center of activity.

Hillwood just doesn't seem to understand urban design (neither does Crow really for that matter). I really don't expect to see much more than some office buildings with restaurants and retail at the bottom. I think the developments will be successful, but better things could've been built ultimately...

I hate to be a downer, but such a disappointing project from TC. I wish they would build a mixed-use building here. Probably not the most trafficked area for street side retail, but that doesn't mean that it wouldn't help the area or be a start.

There is a big "Arriving" sign for The Terminal on the property now. Nice!! I always worry about the high quality developments like this getting killed before I see dirt turn. From what I understand they just got their approval! I couldn't be more happy for them. It's a great team there.

The other spots where a deck park would work wonders would be at Knox Henderson, Cityplace, and Northpark. Considering the campaign for a deck park at Legacy West has begun, then I don't see why we can't have additional ones throughout the city.
