Re: Lower Greenville Development
I wonder what the development on the old retirement home site at Belmont and Greenville will do. Tie that together with a McKinney Whole Foods-esque development on the old Walmart (aka the old Whole Foods, ironically) site, and you could have some nice residential bookends. I was out to dinner down ...

I think that they had every intention of putting in trees, but when they tried to dig up the sidewalk to plant them, they found it to but much more cost-prohibitive than anticipated. Instead, they considered taking the next best approach and painting the sidewalk beige. Blame it on the price of oil.

Ah, FCD...Been a fan since '05 back when Juan Toja/Arturo Alvarez were with with the Hoops... They're looking solid again this year. Hopefully, we can get that elusive LH Trophy this year. I'd say this is definitely one of the better teams they've had in quite some time. Great shot at the trophy. W...

I've got tickets on the west side of the stadium, and was able to get down to the beer garden for the second half of the home opener. AWESOME vibe down there! The tailgate was great too.
Late one this week, hope they can keep up the good form!

Nice! I know the Spring Creek Trail goes under 75, but is there an easy way to get from that to CityLine? It seems like a pedestrian bridge across Spring Creek on the east and west sides of 75 would be great.

I may be totally oblivious to this, but would there be a point where Dallas would become a city where people "own" parking spots? I know we're probably far, far away from it, but I had a buddy in Chicago who owned a parking spot downtown and actually contemplated leasing it out. It seems t...

Goodness gracious, I totally flew by that note on the bridge in the article. I'd read the DMN article, which didn't mention it, but should have! That's a huge element of the development. The bridge in City Line Park is pretty nice. It feels a little odd as there's not much to see, but the bridge is ...

I had no idea this park was in the cards. Great news! City Line park is tiny, so having additional greenspace will be a plus. I wonder if there are any plans for improving walkability in the area. I work near Valley View and noticed that they've removed the murals from the old JC Penney. I think they're doing a pretty large expansion of the Spring Creek Nature Preserve, no? I saw crews clearing out some of the brush on Renner, so even though there may be some of the area getting clear-cut for these apartments, I think there is some positive development too.

I feel like I'm missing something here. Is Plano's approval simply supposed to act as a signal to other, more directly related, cities to support it as well? This feels like Carrollton taking a vote on whether they support bike lanes in Fort Worth.
