City Council endorsed the Commerce St D2 alignment today, so we can officially say goodbye to the Deep Ellum Station and at least two buildings (one which is undergoing an extensive renovation as a restaurant/bar) for installation of the track and switches?

They've done a good job with the entrance to the AC and Residence Inn hotels. Really complements the wider sidewalk/bulb-out that they added earlier this year.

No doubt the architect for the station will have those renderings all over their website, which is how we find a lot of the drawings for this site. Then Steve Brown will get them from this site and have Texas Central confirm the plans.

It does seem like Young Street is the best choice when you consider redundancy. It's also a more natural extension of the MATA tracks that currently end at Federal St. Young alignment also flanks Main Street Garden on two sides, which none of the other alignments do.
