Didn't we establish that the 20-23 story max height has something to do with elevators? You need extra banks or express elevators once you go above that range, so going any higher introduces a lot of added costs by now requiring entirely new banks of elevators.

Looking at the wikipedia GDP chart is interesting though... DFWs GDP grew 28 pct over that period, while Austin/RR grew 48 percent over that 5 year period, or 70% faster.
