Now that the phase is pretty much done north of Northside Drive, drivers are realizing that, other than the tolled express lane additions, the free lane capacity is pretty much the same.

That does look similar to an upper floor I've been on there. If it's ready to open, it has to be in an existing building. Otherwise, downtown land prices would probably be too much for a small-format hostel. Good idea, but I would have thought Deep Ellum or maybe the Cedars before putting it in DTD.

I guess we have a little history going on right now... the excavation/redo of the previous Cesar Chavez northbound lanes is exposing something probably not seen in many decades. There are rails and wood crossties among the dirt and debris--very likely from when the Houston & Texas Central RR occ...
