Re: Victory Park: The Victor (~453FT / 39ST)

I wonder what type of assumptions we can make about the leasing rates at The Ascent and Skyhouse 2 if they are already going ahead with this project? Does anyone know what the occupancy rates look like at those two relatively new buildings? I take it that they must be quite good if Hines thinks they...

I'll take it! Definitely nothing to write home about, but I'll consider this to be more of a top tier infill project rather than an iconic project. Those are really good quality renderings too, kudos to the design and marketing team for pumping those out.

Re: Dallas Love Field Airport

Interesting proposal. I think the hardest part will be bridging Bachman lake. The road could be surface grade through most of the airport property and would just need to sneak underground for 1 or 2 taxi way alignments. I don't think the orientation of the new terminal building a huge deal as the no...

Re: Lower Greenville Development

Has anyone seen the Trammel Crow development? I had high hopes for it as they had multiple tower cranes on the site and went reasonably far below grade for parking, so I was expecting something much, much larger/nicer/denser than what we ended up with. Even worse, the units that front Greenville loo...

What do you guys think the effects of Houston's flooding might be on the local economy, short term? I have been looking for housing new the Lovers and 75 recently (The Village), and from what I can gather, vacancy in that area is less than 5pct. Anecdotally, rents in that area have risen ~50 percent...

I'm not sure if they are going to start construction on the Canyon. I think TxDOT is debating different plans over the Canyon. The options they are considering includes demolishing the Canyon and rerouting 30 altogether. Not sure how that will pan out. But it's something they are seriously consider...

Horseshoe Project: I-35 + I-30 Downtown

So the project is essentially done as of now. What is everyone's thoughts on the outcome of this project? Generally, it appears to be a major improvement, but there is still one very significant bottle neck that this project appears to have made much, much worse, which is very (VERY) frustrating: wh...
